Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano La Penna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabiano La Penna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessio Caroli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Aldo Mazzocchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Buccella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessio Caroli was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Fabiano La Penna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabiano La Penna really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Demetrio Valerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capodichino AFC the free kick. Demetrio Valerio hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Capodichino AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano La Penna came free, but Alessio Caroli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dino Catapano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capodichino AFC's Alessio Caroli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Capodichino AFC from getting a goal against them. When Fabrizio Scoca fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's protests and gave Fabrizio Scoca a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fabrizio Scoca hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Dario Ricci led 31 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's Alessio Buccella became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-2. Fortunato De Lorenzi's late challenge caught a Capodichino AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fortunato De Lorenzi helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Capodichino AFC a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dario Ricci, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's Alessio Buccella. 1-3. A hard shot by Fortunato De Lorenzi from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got Alessio Caroli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 46th match minute, Capodichino AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Sforza to maneuver through the defense. Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donato Alfani in the 49th minute. After 51 minutes Capodichino AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Donato Alfani who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's Donato Alfani to fire away a dangerous shot which Alessio Caroli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Capodichino AFC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano La Penna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Demetrio Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alessio Caroli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Fabiano La Penna made a precise shot to the right of Alessio Caroli. Capodichino AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Domenico Frasca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessio Caroli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Valerio in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Fabiano La Penna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demetrio Valerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Mazzocchetti came free, but Alessio Buccella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's Dario Caccavale got a free kick in the 77th minute. Dino Catapano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demetrio Valerio struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Alessio Caroli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto. Aldo Mazzocchetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessio Buccella having to interfere. Alessio Buccella made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Dino Catapano sent off a good shot on target. If Fabiano La Penna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Taverna Mastro S.Orfeto's zone, Dino Catapano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessio Buccella came out of the goal and Dino Catapano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Piola hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Fabiano La Penna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessio Caroli having to make a save.
