The referee ignored Malanghero AFC's protests and gave Attilio Pellicciotta a yellow card for diving instead. Rotta's Alberigo Colelli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Malanghero AFC. After 12 minutes of play, Malanghero AFC's Angelo Savini made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eraldo Sacchetti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Barbato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Censi in the 19th minute of play. If Angelo Savini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Testi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Barbato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Eraldo Tagliente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Sacchetti having to interfere. Emanuele Testi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Barbato having to interfere.
