After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Biagio Facchini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colonnata's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Facchini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bianco Anelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Biagio Facchini in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bianco Anelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Aurelio Trevisani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bianco Anelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Biagio Facchini went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amos Aversa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colonnata's Adriano Pugliese got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Scirea was the one to do the kick off.
