In the 8th minute, Filippo Pesce made a precise shot to the right of Davide Toccaceli. Modugno FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Edoardo De Lucia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Modugno FC's Davide Toccaceli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Giacomozzi in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Filippo Pesce notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Modugno FC's Davide Toccaceli. Davide Toccaceli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Modugno FC's Armin Bontempi got a free kick in the 21st minute. The Modugno FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide Toccaceli should have stopped the shot. Modugno FC's Davide Toccaceli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesare Giacomozzi in the 37th minute of play. Edoardo De Lucia scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davide Toccaceli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Arrigo Causio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Dario Giandomenico sped through Montilgallo AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudio Di Donato. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Giandomenico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Modugno FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montilgallo AFC:s goal. Filippo Pesce was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Davide Toccaceli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filippo Pesce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 62 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Tedeschi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Davide Toccaceli. That made the score 1-9 in the 65 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Giacomozzi in the 83rd minute of play forced Modugno FC's goalkeeper Davide Toccaceli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Montilgallo AFC's Edoardo De Lucia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-10. Davide Toccaceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Tedeschi in the 90th minute of play. Filippo Pesce's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Davide Toccaceli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 97 minutes, Edoardo De Lucia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montilgallo AFC and the Modugno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edoardo De Lucia kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Alessio Antognoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montilgallo AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
