Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Demetrio Oroni started the match with the kick off. In the 9thth minute of the game Demetrio Oroni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ne FC's Alvise Garofoli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Genovesi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Dave Genovesi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes, Jersey Devils's Dino Granati shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvise Garofoli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jersey Devils reached it. Achille Pennetta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alex Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Grimaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Aurelio Di Francesco charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Di Francesco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christian Di Prinzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jersey Devils's Alvaro Grimaldi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Alvise Garofoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Oroni in the 40th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Achille Pennetta made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Achille Pennetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvise Garofoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Oroni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Achille Pennetta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille Pennetta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Romano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Di Prinzio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Alvise Garofoli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Achille Pennetta struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Alex Romano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ne FC. After 67 minutes, Achille Pennetta made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jersey Devils's Alex Romano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, Amos Fiori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Jersey Devils booed when Ne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Fiori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Demetrio Oroni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvise Garofoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amos Fiori in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Romano saved Jersey Devils from getting behind. If Achille Pennetta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ne FC's Alvise Garofoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Oroni in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ne FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
