Bernardo Lauria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Oroni in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Alexander Simone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jersey Devils's Alex Romano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 33 played minutes Jersey Devils got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Grimaldi. Alexander Simone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Alex Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jersey Devils's Alex Romano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Giampieri in the 39th minute of play. Alex Romano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Giampieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Aurelio Giampieri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Romano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexander Simone to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Kickers Addidonis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Lupi to maneuver through the defense. Christian Di Prinzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Lauria having to interfere. Alex Romano made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aurelio Giampieri sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Jersey Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Simone came free, but Alex Romano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Kickers Addidonis's Ettore Nobili dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Eraldo Aloisi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alex Romano. Jersey Devils's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 91st minute, Dave Giancola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
