The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Lenci in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Bottone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Frank Bottone throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alexander Lenci in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 14thth minute of the game Alexander Lenci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCV Insubria's Frank Bottone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FCV Insubria's Frank Bottone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FCV Insubria from getting a goal against them. Alexander Lenci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Frank Bottone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FCV Insubria's Frank Bottone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Lenci in the 31st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as San Mauro Torinese's Alexander Lenci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Frank Bottone. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in FCV Insubria's zone, Alexander Lenci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Bottone came out of the goal and Alexander Lenci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Antonello Cerri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Lenci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Frank Bottone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Bottone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Lenci, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Frank Bottone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Alexander Lenci put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Frank Bottone. In the 86th minute Alexander Lenci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Bottone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Lenci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Bottone having to interfere. After some careless play in the FCV Insubria defense, Alexander Lenci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Bottone. The FCV Insubria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Bottone should have stopped the shot. FCV Insubria's Frank Bottone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Lenci in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the San Mauro Torinese players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
