The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano Pili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruzzano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beppe De Meis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Porro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Presutti in the 94th minute of the match. If Diego Pallotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Civitavecchia FC fully deserved thier win.
