The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elia Di Lullo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elia Di Lullo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 2 played minutes Ardenza AFC got a freekick which was hit by Elia Di Lullo. After 4 minutes, Elia Taccone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ardenza AFC and the Milano Lambronx players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Ardenza AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milano Lambronx:s goal. Ardenza AFC:s Corrado Pascali showed great skill when he stopped Alex Palladino:s penalty. Armin Romagnoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Corrado Pascali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesare Rucci was a little too slow when Damiano Vespa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. Corrado Pascali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armin Di Biagio in the 18th minute of the match. Armin Romagnoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Pascali having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Romagnoli in the 22nd minute of play forced Ardenza AFC's goalkeeper Corrado Pascali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermanno Bottone kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Vespa in the 25th minute of play forced Milano Lambronx's goalkeeper Cesare Rucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Romagnoli in the 27th minute of play forced Ardenza AFC's goalkeeper Corrado Pascali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Ermanno Vulcano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milano Lambronx and the Ardenza AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Ardenza AFC's Dino Di Francesco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cesare Rucci. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Corrado Pascali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Romagnoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Armin Romagnoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Milano Lambronx's zone, Dino Di Francesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Rucci came out of the goal and Dino Di Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dino Di Francesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Rucci having to interfere. Damiano Vespa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cesare Rucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Milano Lambronx got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Bottone. When Damiano Vespa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ardenza AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Vespa couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Bianco Del Duca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milano Lambronx's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardenza AFC the free kick. The supporters of Ardenza AFC booed when Milano Lambronx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bianco Del Duca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Di Francesco in the 79th minute of play forced Milano Lambronx's goalkeeper Cesare Rucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ardenza AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
