A collision led to Rapallo FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Andrea Volponi hit a great ball. Armin Di Biagio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Milano Lambronx's Cesare Rucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Uguccioni in the 11th minute of play. Biagio Cinalli hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Rapallo FC's Elia Saraceni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesare Rucci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rapallo FC's Filippo Bonsignore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Rapallo FC from getting a goal against them. Ferruccio Uguccioni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Palladino, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ferruccio Uguccioni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Rucci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match, Armin Di Biagio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Bonsignore saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Armin Romagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milano Lambronx's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Romagnoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Bonsignore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferruccio Uguccioni made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermanno Bottone during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Milano Lambronx got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Bottone. Milano Lambronx's Armin Romagnoli got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea Volponi during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Milano Lambronx booed when Rapallo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrea Volponi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armin Di Biagio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Bonsignore having to interfere. Angelo Giancristofaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Cesare Rucci made a huge save. A collision led to Milano Lambronx getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ermanno Bottone hit a great ball. During the 66th minute of the match Ermanno Bottone completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ermanno Bottone a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 71st minute, Ferruccio Uguccioni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rapallo FC's Angelo Giancristofaro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Armin Romagnoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Bonsignore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferruccio Uguccioni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesare Rucci having to make a save.
