The supporters of Alfonsine FC 1921 booed when Picarelli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Brambilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Picarelli's Carter Serantoni got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carter Serantoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Enzo Fantasia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alfonsine FC 1921's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picarelli the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alfonsine FC 1921's Enzo Fantasia got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Carter Serantoni fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Alfonsine FC 1921's Arturo Mantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Serantoni in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Alfonsine FC 1921's Camillo Pantani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Granato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enzo Granato made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Camillo Pantani sent off a good shot on target. Arturo Mantini came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Picarelli's Carter Serantoni. But to his dismay, Carter Serantoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Arturo Mantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Flocco in the 63rd minute of play. Emiliano Avesani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Picarelli's Carter Serantoni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo Mantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 81 minutes into the match, Alfonsine FC 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Egger came free, but Arturo Mantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amerigo Lenzi during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
