But to his dismay, Cosimo Corna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute of the game, Antonello Volpe landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 23 minutes into the game, Augusto Falone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arkeyo United P.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Damaso FC the free kick. Adriano Diana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fulvio Conte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fortunato Catena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Amerigo Arcari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Chiavetta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Arcari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amos Carnevale kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Adriano Diana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, San Damaso FC's Alexander Chiavetta got control of the ball when Alvaro Salvucci tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half San Damaso FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amerigo Arcari made a kick off. Fortunato Catena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Adriano Diana managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Damaso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Diana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulvio Conte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Francesco Riso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adriano Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Carnevale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fulvio Conte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Falone got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 77 minutes into the match, San Damaso FC's Amos Carnevale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulvio Conte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amerigo Arcari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Chiavetta having to interfere. Adriano Diana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Fulvio Conte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Diana got free with Fulvio Conte in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over San Damaso FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arkeyo United P.C throughout the match.
