When Ercole Facchini came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the MESSICANA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercole Facchini couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, MESSICANA's Eugenio Frasca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Åke Larsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When MESSICANA's Eugenio Frasca in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steaua Cuarest's goalie prevented a goal. Eugenio Frasca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Larsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Amerigo Raffa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ercole Facchini was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. MESSICANA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. MESSICANA's Ercole Facchini came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Åke Larsson had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steaua Cuarest's goalkeeper Åke Larsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Steaua Cuarest's goalkeeper Åke Larsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ercole Facchini. Ercole Facchini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Larsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Eugenio Frasca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Frank Malandra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua Cuarest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Malandra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Malandra to make the kick off. Ercole Facchini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Larsson having to interfere. Åke Larsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Frasca in the 58th minute of play. Steaua Cuarest's Åke Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Frasca in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Frank Malandra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugenio Frasca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Åke Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Frasca in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Åke Larsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Åke Larsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Frasca in the 89th minute of play. If Eugenio Frasca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ercole Facchini struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Åke Larsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MESSICANA. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
