The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Diego Orrore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ciccio Rapone made a huge save. If Alfredo Bucciarelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano Panico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alfredo Tartaglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Ettore Troiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Tartaglia. Fogarole's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ettore Troiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Alfredo Tartaglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Panico, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Fogarole booed when Borgetto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Caiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
