Campiglia's Dennis Aversa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Corna in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Merih Uraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campiglia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merih Uraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberigo Clemente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Armin Maccarone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Campiglia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ATLANTA:s goal. Dennis Aversa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enzo Carnevale in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the game, ATLANTA's Enzo Carnevale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Aversa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Corna in the 46th minute of play forced Campiglia's goalkeeper Dennis Aversa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merih Uraz was the one to do the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Campiglia's Fortunato Petrini tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felice Corna in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Aversa saved Campiglia from getting behind. Felice Corna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Aversa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Corna in the 69th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Enzo Carnevale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Aversa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ATLANTA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
