After a rather tough play, Budrio AFC's Ettore Trombatore got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, Budrio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Pinti to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Della Francesca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carmine Orecchioni fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosso's protests and gave Carmine Orecchioni a yellow card for diving instead. Cristiano Leone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio De Amicis having to interfere. Fabrizio De Amicis came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Budrio AFC's Antonello Atroce. But to his dismay, Antonello Atroce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 35 in the game by Alberigo Patrizi from a close distance when the talented Augusto Cerri managed to make a qualified save. Budrio AFC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Rosso's Carmine Orecchioni got a free kick in the 37th minute. Alfonso Della Francesca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrizio De Amicis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Della Francesca in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Budrio AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Cristiano Leone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio De Amicis was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Augusto Cerri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Patrizi in the 55th minute of play. If Carmine Orecchioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The excitement rose when Budrio AFC's Anselmo Pinti after 65 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Rosso's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-2. If Cristiano Leone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Cerri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Orecchioni in the 73rd minute of play. If Alberigo Patrizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Alberigo Motta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Budrio AFC and the Rosso players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberigo Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Fabrizio Biagetti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Cerri. Budrio AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Budrio AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Trombatore to maneuver through the defense. Rosso's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Antonello Atroce 88 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Anselmo Pinti charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Pinti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Anselmo Pinti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberigo Patrizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Cerri having to interfere. When the match was over Budrio AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rosso throughout the match.
