The audience was convinced that Fabiano Addario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessio Morandin was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Lyon2011's Attilio Di Campli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Lyon2011 from getting a goal against them. Alessio Morandin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyon2011. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fabiano Addario made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Emilio Apolloni notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lyon2011's Attilio Di Campli. Attilio Di Campli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Addario in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessio Morandin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the match, Lyon2011's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Zoff came free, but Attilio Di Campli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Comunardo Zoff took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attilio Di Campli. Attilio Di Campli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Emilio Costantino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lizzano AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Costantino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attilio Di Campli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lizzano AFC booed when Lyon2011 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Corvasce didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Enrico Corvasce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyon2011's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrico Corvasce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessio Morandin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
