Ernesto Silvestre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Cicchini in the 34th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Ferrante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Silvestre. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. Frank Combi's late challenge caught a Muggia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Combi helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Concetto Cicchini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muggia's supporters rose to their feet, but Concetto Cicchini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Silvestre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Andreozzi to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Donato Di Fiore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puminha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Di Fiore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes, Davide Scannella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muggia and the Puminha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Muggia's Davide Scannella got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alberto Andreozzi struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Emanuele Baciadonne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puminha FC. Alberto Martelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Eugenio Ferrante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muggia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puminha FC the free kick. Eugenio Ferrante kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Concetto Cicchini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Concetto Cicchini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ernesto Silvestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Martelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Silvestre having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Concetto Cicchini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Silvestre. Puminha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Concetto Cicchini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 98 minutes into the match, Muggia's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Andreozzi came free, but Emanuele Baciadonne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Puminha FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Muggia.
