In the 6th minute of the match Alfonso Ciraci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amos Palermo skillfully saved the ball. Cosimo Catini's late challenge caught a Roncopascolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cosimo Catini helped the player get up and apologised. Concetto Antenucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amos Palermo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Poggio Superiore FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Catini. In the 15th minute of the match Alfonso Ciraci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amos Palermo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emanuele Desiderio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Causio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Roncopascolo's zone, Emanuele Desiderio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Causio came out of the goal and Emanuele Desiderio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Donato Ceccarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roncopascolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Ceccarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Roncopascolo's Ferruccio Orrore got a free kick in the 36th minute. Emanuele Desiderio in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Causio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Concetto Antenucci in the 39th minute of play forced Poggio Superiore FC's goalkeeper Amos Palermo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Concetto Antenucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Palermo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Roncopascolo's Donato Ceccarelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amos Palermo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Roncopascolo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Ceccarelli to strike the kick off in the second half. If Emanuele Desiderio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Poggio Superiore FC's zone, Donato Ceccarelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amos Palermo came out of the goal and Donato Ceccarelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Emanuele Desiderio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roncopascolo's Concetto Antenucci got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Concetto Antenucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Donato Ceccarelli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amos Palermo. The goal made the score 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Roncopascolo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
