Spectators: 3250 (Terracing: 2250, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Valeriano's Fabio Di Massimo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Valeriano's Ciccio Polito got control of the ball when Camiel Schellekens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciccio Martini came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Valeriano's Corrado Chitarroni. But to his dismay, Corrado Chitarroni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ciccio Polito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Kopyl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marko Kopyl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciccio Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Salvagnin, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Emiliano Salvagnin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of A.C.R. Messina's Ciccio Martini. Ciccio Martini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciccio Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corrado Chitarroni in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Fabio Di Massimo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valeriano and the A.C.R. Messina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Valeriano got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Di Massimo. In the 33rd minute, Valeriano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Camiel Schellekens fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 35 minutes into the game, Marko Kopyl recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciccio Polito. Marko Kopyl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 39 minutes, Armando De Fina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valeriano and the A.C.R. Messina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marko Kopyl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Marko Kopyl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emiliano Salvagnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

A.C.R. Messina's Ciccio Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Di Massimo in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Valeriano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Chitarroni to maneuver through the defense. 3-2 became the score in the 68th minute when Camiel Schellekens elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emiliano Bellone hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Ciccio Martini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Di Massimo in the 71st minute of play. Valeriano's Ciccio Polito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camiel Schellekens in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute Fabio Di Massimo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to A.C.R. Messina getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Emiliano Bellone hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, A.C.R. Messina's Emiliano Bellone got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Enrico Pilla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.C.R. Messina! In the 85th minute, Ferdinando Martelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciccio Martini was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. A.C.R. Messina's Ciccio Martini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save A.C.R. Messina from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Salvagnin succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-4. A.C.R.
