Alessandro Tamburrini might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano De Bonis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vasco de Yebo's Cristiano De Bonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Cugini in the 43rd minute of play. Alessandro Tamburrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano De Bonis having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Arrigo Caccia charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arrigo Caccia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arrigo Caccia kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Cristiano De Bonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Tamburrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ernesto Lucchetta might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano De Bonis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
