In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pizzano's goalkeeper Armando Di Marzio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Cardillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pizzano's zone, Alfredo Orlandi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Di Marzio came out of the goal and Alfredo Orlandi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ferruccio Colombi fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pizzano's protests and gave Ferruccio Colombi a yellow card for diving instead. Dave Albanesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Biancone, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Sporting Club Barzilai got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Salemme. A nice corner shot did that Davide Valeriani got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dave Albanesi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfredo Orlandi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Franco Cardillo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sporting Club Barzilai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Cardillo couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Orlandi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davide Valeriani kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Sporting Club Barzilai got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Salemme. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franco Cardillo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Orlandi in the 54th minute of play forced Pizzano's goalkeeper Armando Di Marzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Di Marzio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Cardillo went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Franco Cardillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Elia Mandara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Club Barzilai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elia Mandara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franco Cardillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sporting Club Barzilai's Franco Cardillo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pizzano defense, Alfredo Orlandi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Di Marzio. The Pizzano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Di Marzio should have stopped the shot. Dave Cara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Dave Albanesi made a huge save. Armando Di Marzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Orlandi in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Fausto Salemme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Cara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sporting Club Barzilai's Franco Cardillo in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pizzano's goalie prevented a goal. Franco Cardillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Armando Di Marzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Pizzano's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Cardillo came free, but Armando Di Marzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Franco Cardillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Armando Di Marzio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Club Barzilai had played much better football throughout.
