In the 18thth minute of the game Achille Di Gregorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montorio AFC's Camillo Domenghini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Summonte AFC's Carlo Lupi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Olmi in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Aurelio Carbonaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montorio AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Summonte AFC the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Aurelio Carbonaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alessio Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Diana in the 29th minute of play forced Montorio AFC's goalkeeper Camillo Domenghini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Achille Di Gregorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montorio AFC's Camillo Domenghini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Achille Di Gregorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Camillo Domenghini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achille Di Gregorio in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camillo Domenghini saved Montorio AFC from getting behind. 46 minutes into the game, one of Summonte AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filippo Olmi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Antonello Bonelli fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Summonte AFC's protests and gave Antonello Bonelli a yellow card for diving instead. Achille Di Gregorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Camillo Domenghini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Lupi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Crognale in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Cesare Crognale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montorio AFC's Camillo Domenghini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Montorio AFC from getting a goal against them. Summonte AFC's Alessio Diana got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camillo Domenghini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Di Gregorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st match minute, Summonte AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrizio Martini to maneuver through the defense. Achille Di Gregorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camillo Domenghini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Alessio Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Di Gregorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Montorio AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ettore Felice hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Achille Di Gregorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Camillo Domenghini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achille Di Gregorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Domenghini having to interfere. If Alessio Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camillo Domenghini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Di Gregorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Montorio AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Summonte AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
