Spectators: 7702 (Terracing: 5849, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 60) Biagio Selvaggi made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Biagio Selvaggi notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Palestro's Alexander Cagnetta. Alexander Cagnetta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Biagio Selvaggi struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Alexander Cagnetta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalanta. Atalanta's Biagio Selvaggi got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ercole Rossini's late challenge caught a Atalanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ercole Rossini helped the player get up and apologised. Biagio Selvaggi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Alexander Cagnetta 12 minutes into the match. Biagio Selvaggi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alexander Cagnetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Cagnetta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Selvaggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Atalanta's Alvise Pettinelli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexander Cagnetta. Alexander Cagnetta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Biagio Selvaggi sped through Palestro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexander Cagnetta. Palestro's Alexander Cagnetta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Palestro from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the game, Ettore Brini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atalanta the free kick. In the 34th minute, Ettore Brini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Biagio Selvaggi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Cagnetta was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Alexander Cagnetta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Selvaggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristiano Basso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atalanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Basso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Biagio Selvaggi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ettore Brini made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Atalanta's Biagio Selvaggi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Cagnetta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Biagio Selvaggi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Selvaggi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Cagnetta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Biagio Selvaggi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Cagnetta was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. When Ercole Rossini was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. In the 64th match minute, Palestro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Rossini to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Palestro getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alberto Casadei hit a great ball. When Biagio Selvaggi came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Atalanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biagio Selvaggi couldn't finish the play. In the 76thth minute of the game Eraldo Mercuri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestro's Alexander Cagnetta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Atalanta's Cristiano Basso in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palestro's goalie prevented a goal. After 80 minutes, Biagio Selvaggi made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Palestro's Alexander Cagnetta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Eraldo Mercuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atalanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestro the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atalanta's Eraldo Mercuri got a free kick in the 84th minute. Anthony Tardelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alexander Cagnetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Cagnetta came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Atalanta's Biagio Selvaggi. But to his dismay, Biagio Selvaggi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Cristiano Basso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Cagnetta having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atalanta had played much better football throughout.
