The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Unione Sportiva Albenga's Armin Muto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When Armin Muto came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Unione Sportiva Albenga fans jumped to their feet. Emanuele Egger hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Edoardo Giusti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unione Sportiva Albenga's Alex Pacella was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Panella in the 25th minute of play forced Barboni United's goalkeeper Andrea Di Fazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Pacella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea De Sanctis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, Elia Di Dio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrea Di Fazio made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Armin Muto sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute, Alvise Restaino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvise Restaino had several of the Barboni United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Andrea Di Fazio as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armin Muto got free with Andrea Di Fazio in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armin Muto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Unione Sportiva Albenga's Alex Pacella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea De Sanctis in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edoardo Giusti made a kick off. Armin Muto took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrea Di Fazio. Andrea Di Fazio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Andrea Di Fazio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Muto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Armin Muto sped through Barboni United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrea Di Fazio. In the 61st minute Armin Muto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Di Fazio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Di Fazio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Egger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Antonello Caccia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Armin Muto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrea Di Fazio was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Barboni United's Andrea Di Fazio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Muto in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Unione Sportiva Albenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Restaino to maneuver through the defense. Andrea Di Fazio came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Unione Sportiva Albenga's Armin Muto. But to his dismay, Armin Muto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Andrea Di Fazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuele Egger, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of Unione Sportiva Albenga booed when Barboni United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Bussi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armin Muto struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Andrea Di Fazio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unione Sportiva Albenga. Andrea Di Fazio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Egger in the 83rd minute of the match. Andrea Di Fazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armin Muto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 minutes of play Barboni United's Concetto Bussi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Concetto Bussi hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Barboni United got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Bussi. 96 minutes into the match, Emanuele Egger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Di Fazio. Barboni United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuele Egger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1.
