In the 24th minute Filippo De Lorenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Damiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Building defense, Filippo De Lorenzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Damiani. The Building fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Damiani should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. After 32 minutes of play, Building's Emilio Primavera made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domenico Orrore was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Fabio Prosperi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulminea's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Prosperi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ercole Damiani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Biagio Gava kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Federico Lopez made a kick off. Emanuele Ronconi kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fulminea's Francesco Nero got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 67th minute, Filippo De Lorenzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domenico Orrore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Massaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Fulminea's Domenico Orrore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Massaro in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Building's goalkeeper Ercole Damiani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filippo De Lorenzi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo De Lorenzi got free with Ercole Damiani in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Fulminea booed when Building was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesare Coccolone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 89th minute, when Fulminea's Fausto Piattelli after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Ercole Damiani in Building's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 93 played minutes Fulminea got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Nero.
