The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruno Zollino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Iezzi in the 7th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Longara FC got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Biavati. FC Rhodense's Bruno Zollino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Biavati in the 13th minute of play. Bruno Zollino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Iezzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Zollino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eraldo Iezzi went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Longara FC's Eraldo Iezzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Zollino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Longara FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Comunardo Casale hit a great ball. Anthony Anelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Rhodense's Bruno Zollino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Iezzi in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Eraldo Iezzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Caniglia in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Damiano Biavati left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Longara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When Damiano Biavati came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Longara FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Biavati couldn't finish the play. Boldizsár Berkes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Caniglia made a kick off. After some careless play in the FC Rhodense defense, Eraldo Iezzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Zollino. The FC Rhodense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Zollino should have stopped the shot. Bruno Zollino came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Longara FC's Eraldo Iezzi. But to his dismay, Eraldo Iezzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some careless play in the FC Rhodense defense, Linus Søtherp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Zollino. The FC Rhodense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Zollino should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute Anthony Anelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Zollino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Eraldo Iezzi made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Zollino. FC Rhodense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 67 minutes into the match, Eraldo Iezzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Zollino. FC Rhodense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eraldo Iezzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0.
