Picchia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Marcucci to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Fortunato Quattrocchi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of A.c. Picchia's Fulvio Porreca. Fulvio Porreca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A.c. Picchia's Fulvio Porreca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Valeri in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Fortunato Quattrocchi put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fulvio Porreca. Fulvio Porreca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Quattrocchi in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to A.c. Picchia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alessio Eboli hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Achille De Marchi during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Quattrocchi in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulvio Porreca saved A.c. Picchia from getting behind. Carter Franceschi hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes A.c. Picchia got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Marcucci. Dave Fanelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulvio Porreca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Fanelli ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, A.c. Picchia's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Donatelli came free, but Fulvio Porreca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Fortunato Quattrocchi made a precise shot to the right of Fulvio Porreca. A.c. Picchia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carter Franceschi during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to A.c. The audience was convinced that Ferruccio Valeri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulvio Porreca was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After the first half Atletico Lapanza were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferruccio Valeri to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Ferruccio Valeri sped through A.c. Picchia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fulvio Porreca. A hard shot 59 in the game by Ferruccio Valeri from a close distance when the talented Fulvio Porreca managed to make a qualified save. A.c. Picchia's players were relieved. Ferruccio Valeri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fulvio Porreca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.c. Picchia's Fulvio Porreca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save A.c. Picchia from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ciccio Loody's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuele Santilli was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. A hard shot 78 in the game by Ferruccio Valeri from a close distance when the talented Fulvio Porreca managed to make a qualified save. A.c. Picchia's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ferruccio Valeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Lapanza's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferruccio Valeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulvio Porreca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Valeri struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Fulvio Porreca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Lapanza. A collision led to Atletico Lapanza getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Fortunato Quattrocchi hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, A.c. Picchia's Edmondo Marcucci got a free kick in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in A.c. Picchia's zone, Ferruccio Valeri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Porreca came out of the goal and Ferruccio Valeri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Donatelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Ferruccio Valeri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Porreca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Atletico Lapanza left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A.c. Picchia.
