But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Del Vecchio couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Gerhard Martin Geldreich took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Armando De Lellis to make any attempt to save it. Antonio Del Vecchio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bruno Zollino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Ettore Maranzano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porporana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Rhodense the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Porporana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Maranzano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Pace in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Rhodense's goalkeeper Bruno Zollino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Anfilogino Pace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Zollino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Caniglia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Armando De Lellis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Armando De Lellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhard Martin Geldreich, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Adriano Dossena fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porporana's protests and gave Adriano Dossena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Adriano Dossena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Antonio Del Vecchio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bruno Zollino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anfilogino Pace made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Rhodense's Ercole Salvadore got a free kick in the 56th minute. Antonio Del Vecchio scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Zollino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Zollino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Pace in the 62nd minute of the match. Emilio Caniglia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando De Lellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhard Martin Geldreich, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Gerhard Martin Geldreich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando De Lellis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Caniglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Zollino was a little too slow when Antonio Del Vecchio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-4. Antonio Del Vecchio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Bruno Zollino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porporana. In the 83rd minute Gerhard Martin Geldreich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando De Lellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Porporana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Dossena to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Bruno Zollino managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Porporana's Antonio Del Vecchio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrizio Limitone during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Porporana's Fabrizio Limitone got a free kick in the 91st minute.
