Emanuele Campoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Camillo Punta hit a great ball. Fortunato Santilli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Chitarroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Bosco AFC's Anselmo Orsini got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Di Liddo in the 34th minute of play forced Bosco AFC's goalkeeper Fortunato Santilli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camillo Punta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palermo's Alexander Pozzo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 played minutes Bosco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dave De Meis. Alexander Pozzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Lauro to make the kick off. Alexander Pozzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palermo's Alexander Pozzo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Pozzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aldo Franceschini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Lauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Campoli having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Dino Lauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bosco AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Bosco AFC booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Zacchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dino Lauro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Bosco AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Lauro couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Armando Marrone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Enrico Giordani with Camillo Brini as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 87th minute, Aurelio Chitarroni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fortunato Santilli. The goal made the score 2-2. 95 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Lauro came free, but Emanuele Campoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bosco AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Palermo had controlled the match.
