Donato Giardino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Lalli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Rampante Balocco's Anthony Di Iorio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Giardino. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. 36 minutes into the game, The Brindisi Club's Fulvio Lozzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthony Basile made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, The Brindisi Club's Donato Giardino got control of the ball when Anthony Di Iorio tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Anthony Di Iorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Lalli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Donato Giardino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniele Pelati stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to The Brindisi Club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Fulvio Lozzi hit a great ball. When Rampante Balocco's Anthony Di Iorio in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Many of The Brindisi Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. The Brindisi Club may have spent more time on the ball, but Rampante Balocco were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
