When Enrico Giordani fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bosco AFC's protests and gave Enrico Giordani a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Rocco in the 25th minute of play forced Bosco AFC's goalkeeper Fortunato Santilli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Emiliano Rocco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fortunato Santilli to make any attempt to save it. After 39 played minutes, Bosco AFC's Camillo Brini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antonello Mattioli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bosco AFC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Tik Tok Challenger's zone, Dino Lauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Mattioli came out of the goal and Dino Lauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 48 played minutes Bosco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Ronconi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Bevilacqua to make the kick off. A collision led to Bosco AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Franco Olivieri hit a great ball. Dino Piccoli hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Dave De Meis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bosco AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave De Meis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Di Rocco made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bosco AFC's Camillo Brini. After having played for 67 minutes, Dino De Simone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tik Tok Challenger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino De Simone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Bevilacqua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Mattioli was a little too slow when Armando Marrone got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-1. Fausto Di Rocco hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Dino Lauro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antonello Mattioli. The goal made the score 1-2.
