Felice Melis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Carmine Venditti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarbia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DIEGO FC the free kick. The supporters of DIEGO FC booed when Sarbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Venditti didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciccio Di Francesco was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Riccitelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Sarbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Coccolone to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Sarbia's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Riccitelli came free, but Fulvio Bocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DIEGO FC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Sarbia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Attilio Placidi took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Alberto Montanari managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Alberto Riccitelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulvio Bocchi was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Sarbia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
