Igli della Lypa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornaredo FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Di Santo in the 15th minute of play forced Cornaredo FC's goalkeeper Arturo Giorda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emilio Scarcella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Daniele Di Santo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Igli della Lypa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Di Santo couldn't finish the play. Daniele Di Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniele Di Santo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Giorda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arturo Giorda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Vulcano in the 27th minute of the match. The Igli della Lypa fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Igli della Lypa's Daniele Di Santo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arturo Giorda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniele Di Santo's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Alvaro Cirigliano kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Igli della Lypa's Christian Bocchi was substituted for Concetto Evangelista. In the 78th match minute, Cornaredo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Cirigliano to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Scarcella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Daniele Di Santo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Igli della Lypa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Di Santo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 93 minutes, Daniele Di Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Igli della Lypa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Di Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
