Amedeo Eleuteri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yavuz Bülent Çağan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Amedeo Eleuteri sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Villani in the 37th minute of play forced ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Çağan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Edmondo Bartolucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Dino Valletta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yavuz Bülent Çağan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Amedeo Eleuteri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Yavuz Bülent Çağan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 83rd minute of the match San Ferrini got a corner. ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dino Valletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 84 minutes, Alfonso Villani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Ferrini's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Villani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amedeo Eleuteri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Di Falco. After a defensive mix-up in ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo's zone, Alfonso Villani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yavuz Bülent Çağan came out of the goal and Alfonso Villani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes, Emiliano Panico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo and the San Ferrini players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Panico. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind ZeNiT CaSe Di MaLo's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Çağan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Achille Donadoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
