Sporting Flora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Poletti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Sporting Flora's Alfredo Milani got a free kick in the 17th minute. The Calcio Bagge fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Calcio Bagge's Enzo Menichini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After some careless play in the Sporting Flora defense, Emilio Poletti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Tarulli. The Sporting Flora fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Tarulli should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Menichini in the 74th minute of play forced Sporting Flora's goalkeeper Alessandro Tarulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Poletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
