Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bruno Scarcella got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Francesco Balestra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Scarcella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting Flora's Alessandro Tarulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Donato in the 9th minute of play. Federico Mosca made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carter Negri. Ercole Donato struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Alessandro Tarulli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catona AFC. Ercole Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Sporting Flora got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Balestra. Francesco Balestra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Altobelli having to interfere. Sporting Flora's Ferruccio Martini was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Damiano Guidone kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Achille Valcareggi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvise Altobelli having to make a save. Francesco Balestra struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Alvise Altobelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Flora. Alvise Altobelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Martini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Enrico Di Nino made a precise shot to the right of Alvise Altobelli. Catona AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Betti in the 47th minute of play forced Sporting Flora's goalkeeper Alessandro Tarulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferruccio Martini to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Sporting Flora's Achille Valcareggi made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvise Altobelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ferruccio Martini came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sporting Flora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferruccio Martini couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Catona AFC's Alessandro Tarulli threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bruno Scarcella, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd match minute, Sporting Flora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Balestra to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Flora's Alessandro Tarulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Donato in the 64th minute of play. Alfredo Milani charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Milani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sporting Flora's Alfredo Milani got a free kick in the 66th minute. Alessandro Tarulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Scarcella, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Demetrio Pompilio got free with Alessandro Tarulli in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Catona AFC's Alvise Altobelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Milani in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Sporting Flora got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Guidone. Thanks to some nice moves Ercole Donato could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Alessandro Tarulli however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Sporting Flora's Francesco Balestra got a free kick in the 77th minute. Catona AFC's Bruno Polmone got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Ferruccio Martini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Flora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. When Alfredo Milani came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Sporting Flora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Milani couldn't finish the play. Amos Cassone's late challenge caught a Sporting Flora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amos Cassone helped the player get up and apologised. Amos Cassone kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Alvise Altobelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferruccio Martini in the 92nd minute of play. When Sporting Flora's Ferruccio Martini in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catona AFC's goalie prevented a goal. There was no doubt that Sporting Flora were the better team. Sporting Flora's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
