Paul Caniggia scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Giannico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Latina's zone, Paul Caniggia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Giannico came out of the goal and Paul Caniggia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bluèrose FC's Aurelio Napoleoni got a free kick in the 24th minute. A collision led to Bluèrose FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Paul Caniggia hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Bruno Maxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Latina got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Gargano. Armin Meo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armin Meo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Armin Meo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Bruno Maxin came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Bluèrose FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Maxin couldn't finish the play. Bruno Maxin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Bluèrose FC got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Massa. Aurelio Napoleoni's late challenge caught a Latina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Napoleoni helped the player get up and apologised. Aurelio Napoleoni kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match, Armin Meo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Durlabha Burlaka was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Bruno Maxin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Sampo struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ciro Giannico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bluèrose FC. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Maxin made a kick off. If Sandrinho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Maxin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ciro Giannico made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Adriano Iacobucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Bluèrose FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Sampo. Paul Caniggia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Giannico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Bluèrose FC booed when Latina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico De Santis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Paul Caniggia notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Latina's Ciro Giannico. Ciro Giannico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the match, Bluèrose FC's Sandrinho Massa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Giannico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabiano Melani's late challenge caught a Bluèrose FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Melani helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Fabiano Melani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bluèrose FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
