After a rather tough play, Calcroci AFC's Edoardo Del Papa got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 24 played minutes, GP2 Red Fields's Cesare Di Dio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilio Cirone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GP2 Red Fields reached it. In the 26th minute, Carter Lucantoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Biagio Padula was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Emilio Sorge fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calcroci AFC's protests and gave Emilio Sorge a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Emilio Sorge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Lucantoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Padula having to interfere. When Cesare Di Domenico came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the GP2 Red Fields fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesare Di Domenico couldn't finish the play. Carter Lucantoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Padula having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
