The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Rosati in the 13th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Augusto Giacchetti in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santa Nicola's Alberigo Troilo. In the 23rdth minute of the game Flavio Del Nero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elia Rocchetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Palleschi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Amedeo Di Rado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlo Melone came out and tried to block the shot, but Amedeo Di Rado slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 27th minute. In the 86th minute Amedeo Di Rado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Melone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Santa Nicola's goalkeeper Elia Rocchetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Achille Contestabile. 91 minutes into the match, Santa Nicola's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Del Nero came free, but Elia Rocchetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Fausto Palleschi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elia Rocchetti. That made the score 5-2 in the 92 minute of play. Milano FC's Flavio Del Nero got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Milano FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santa Nicola.
