Dario Di Pasquale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute of the match Dave Caruso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Melone skillfully saved the ball. Achille Contestabile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ciro Borrelli made a huge save. After 10 minutes, Bruno Carta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milano FC and the SSC Bari players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Milano FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bruno Carta hit a great ball. Milano FC's Concetto Rosati got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SSC Bari's Ciro Borrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Del Nero in the 22nd minute of play. Ciro Borrelli made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Achille Contestabile sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, Concetto Fioriti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SSC Bari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milano FC the free kick. A collision led to SSC Bari getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Concetto Fioriti hit a great ball. Ciro Borrelli was a little too slow when Flavio Del Nero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. Concetto Rosati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ciro Borrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Achille Contestabile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Cinque hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Milano FC's Ciro Borrelli threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fausto Palleschi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Milano FC's Flavio Del Nero got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Del Neros short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Ciro Borrelli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristoforo Carlini made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, SSC Bari's goal looked a bit too open when Achille Contestabile came free, but Ciro Borrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Flavio Del Nero made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Borrelli. SSC Bari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 62 minutes into the match, SSC Bari's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Palleschi came free, but Ciro Borrelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Berti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ciro Borrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Caruso's late challenge caught a Milano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 66th minute Fausto Palleschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Borrelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Bari's zone, Flavio Del Nero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Borrelli came out of the goal and Flavio Del Nero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Milano FC's Flavio Del Nero in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SSC Bari's goalie prevented a goal. If Concetto Rosati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Borrelli came out of the goal and Concetto Rosati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Di Pasquale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ciro Borrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Del Nero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Borrelli having to make a save. When Milano FC's Flavio Del Nero in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SSC Bari's goalie prevented a goal. Achille Contestabile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Flavio Del Nero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ciro Borrelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Fausto Palleschi came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Milano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Palleschi couldn't finish the play. Milano FC's Flavio Del Nero got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Milano FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
