Bolhamburg's Ermanno Grasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Bolhamburg from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Bolhamburg's Ermanno Grasso got control of the ball when Bruno Zangari tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Zangari got free with Ermanno Grasso in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ettore Ingegno to make the kick off. Santa Nicola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Achille Brandini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 69thth minute of the game Ettore Ingegno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Amedeo Di Rado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermanno Grasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Zangari in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Santa Nicola's Elia Rocchetti got control of the ball when Achille Brandini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Santa Nicola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Giusto to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Bolhamburg got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Casiraghi. A collision led to Bolhamburg getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ettore Ingegno hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Bruno Zangari made a precise shot to the right of Ermanno Grasso. Bolhamburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. When the final whistle went the supporters of Bolhamburg were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Santa Nicola side.
