Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Feliziani in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano Speranza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Feliziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Cosimo Galante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shannara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando Galeone in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Speranza saved Milazzo from getting behind. After 13 played minutes Milazzo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Marra. Edmondo Colelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Di Maio in the 17th minute of play. Milazzo's Ciccio Palumbo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Milazzo booed when Shannara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Spinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Dennis Di Monte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shannara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milazzo the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Shannara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Di Monte to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Shannara's goal looked a bit too open when Fedele Di Maio came free, but Edmondo Colelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Di Maios short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Edmondo Colelli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Fedele Di Maio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the match, Shannara's goalkeeper Edmondo Colelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedele Di Maio. Ciccio Palumbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Colelli having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Fedele Di Maio made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Shannara's Edmondo Colelli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Federico Volta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edmondo Colelli. The goal made the score 2-1. After 42 played minutes Shannara got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Di Monte. Fedele Di Maio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmondo Colelli came out and tried to block the shot, but Fedele Di Maio slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ciccio Ciaccia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milazzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Ciaccia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo Colelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriano Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Galeone, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Di Monte got free with Adriano Speranza in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes of play, Milazzo's Federico Volta made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmondo Colelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Feliziani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Adriano Speranza made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Galante during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Shannara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Galante to maneuver through the defense. Edmondo Colelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Di Maio in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Shannara's Emilio Spinelli got a free kick in the 81st minute. Milazzo's Arturo Marra got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Milazzo's Fedele Di Maio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmondo Colelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Federico Volta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Edmondo Colelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milazzo had played much better football throughout.
