Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ferdinando Galeone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Melone having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Dave Pasquale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Pasquale during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Budrione's Dave Pasquale got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Shannara's Adriano Pallini broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 10th minute Bruno Feliziani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Melone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Beppe Di Fazio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Budrione's Adriano Lucidi in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shannara's goalie prevented a goal. Beppe Di Fazio's late challenge caught a Shannara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beppe Di Fazio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Shannara booed when Budrione was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beppe Di Fazio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Beppe Di Fazio put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edmondo Colelli. Edmondo Colelli made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Beppe Di Fazio sent off a good shot on target. Beppe Di Fazio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmondo Colelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Bruno Feliziani struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Comunardo Melone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shannara. If Bruno Feliziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmondo Colelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Lucidi's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Edmondo Colelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Di Fazio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Shannara's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Lucidi came free, but Edmondo Colelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmondo Colelli was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Adriano Lucidi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Lucidi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Dennis Di Monte kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 56 played minutes Shannara got a freekick which was hit by Cosimo Galante. After having played for 57 minutes, Beppe Di Fazio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Budrione's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beppe Di Fazio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 minutes, Daniele Antenucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shannara and the Budrione players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Shannara getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Daniele Antenucci hit a great ball. Edmondo Colelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppe Di Fazio in the 65th minute of the match. When Beppe Di Fazio came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Budrione fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Di Fazio couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Beppe Di Fazio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Colelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmondo Colelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Di Fazio, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Adriano Lucidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Colelli having to interfere. Ferdinando Galeone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Melone having to interfere. Biagio Cattaneo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Bruno Feliziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Budrione were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Shannara for a fine match.
