With a couple of smart ball manuevers 邵阳海 in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Margoni saved Cassano Magnago from getting behind. In the 11th minute Ermanno Santone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Ansoldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, 邵阳海 notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cassano Magnago's Fortunato Margoni. Fortunato Margoni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dino Alfonsi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Bernardo Ansoldi made a huge save. Comunardo Antonelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dino Fracassi charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Fracassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cassano Magnago booed when SS Milazzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Fracassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Cassano Magnago's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Antonelli came free, but Fortunato Margoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes, 邵阳海 made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Cassano Magnago's Fortunato Margoni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, SS Milazzo's goalkeeper Bernardo Ansoldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dino Alfonsi. The audience was convinced that 邵阳海's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunato Margoni was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After having played for 37 minutes, Comunardo Antonelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SS Milazzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Antonelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Ansoldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Santone in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute 邵阳海 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Margoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermanno Santone made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SS Milazzo's zone, Dino Caligaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Ansoldi came out of the goal and Dino Caligaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Antonello Pierucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Fortunato Margoni managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when SS Milazzo's 邵阳海 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dino Caligaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Ansoldi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Santone in the 61st minute of play forced SS Milazzo's goalkeeper Bernardo Ansoldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Comunardo Antonelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Fortunato Margoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Donato Ottavi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Davide Marrone charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davide Marrone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 80 minutes into the match, Ermanno Santone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Ansoldi. SS Milazzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ermanno Santone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dino Caligaris took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Ansoldi. Bernardo Ansoldi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Bernardo Ansoldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Santone, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When SS Milazzo's 邵阳海 in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cassano Magnago's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Ansoldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Marrone, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the SS Milazzo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cassano Magnago.
