When Ettore Juliano came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Roccalvecce AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Juliano couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the game, Concetto Giordani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roccalvecce AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varsity Blues Velletri the free kick. After 29 played minutes Roccalvecce AFC got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Giordani. With a little luck, Roccalvecce AFC's Fedele Di Lullo got control of the ball when Anthony Polito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anthony Polito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fedele Di Lullo having to make a save. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varsity Blues Velletri's goalkeeper Ettore Massaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roccalvecce AFC's Ettore Juliano got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Cellucci made a kick off. Adriano Colagrossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Roccalvecce AFC booed when Varsity Blues Velletri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio De Meis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ettore Juliano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ettore Massaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achille Mazzone charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Achille Mazzone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Varsity Blues Velletri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Achille Mazzone to maneuver through the defense. The referee gave Roccalvecce AFC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelo Prosperi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Varsity Blues Velletri's Ettore Massaro. 0-2. Comunardo Cannata struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fedele Di Lullo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varsity Blues Velletri. If Anthony Polito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Roccalvecce AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Varsity Blues Velletri throughout the match.
