After a defensive mix-up in Gattatico's zone, Alberigo Improta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Vargas came out of the goal and Alberigo Improta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alberigo Improta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Arrigo De Feo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Allic Lì Babbà's Aurelio Pesce got a free kick in the 13th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Gattatico's Fabio Bussi tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edvaldo Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmine Maccioni went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Gattatico's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Maccioni came free, but Edvaldo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The goalkeeper, Antonio Limitone, was totally fooled by Gattatico's Fabio Bussi, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the Allic Lì Babbà defense, Federico Mori kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Limitone. The Allic Lì Babbà fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Limitone should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Gattatico's Cosimo Burelli got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Ciccio Maestri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvaldo Vargas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristide Mestecăneanu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Maccioni in the 59th minute of play forced Gattatico's goalkeeper Edvaldo Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristide Mestecăneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvaldo Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Maccioni in the 65th minute of play. Carmine Maccioni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvaldo Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Maccioni in the 69th minute of the match. Edvaldo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Maccioni, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, Gattatico's Aristide Mestecăneanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Limitone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Carmine Maccioni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Gattatico's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Maccioni came free, but Edvaldo Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Allic Lì Babbà fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Antonio Limitone had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabio Bussi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With his leg Edvaldo Vargas managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Allic Lì Babbà's Carmine Maccioni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 93rd match minute, Gattatico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Bruno to maneuver through the defense. If Carmine Maccioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
