The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armand Col sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute, Cosimo Cinalli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the C.C. Ortigia Siracusa defense, Florian Di Florio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesare Tristezza. The C.C. Ortigia Siracusa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Tristezza should have stopped the shot. Fabiano Biagetti hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Davide Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixtus Flory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Zisser to maneuver through the defense. If Cosimo Catapano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Friulkatané was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edoardo Costacurta to maneuver through the defense. Davide Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Fabiano Zisser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixtus Flory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesare Tristezza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antonello Di Fazio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. Fabiano Zisser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesare Tristezza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cosimo Cinalli went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Cosimo Cinalli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beppe De Paolis made a kick off. After a rather tough play, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Cristoforo Ferri got a free kick in the 53rd minute. C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Cesare Tristezza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Cinalli in the 56th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Cristoforo Ferri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.C. Ortigia Siracusa and the Friulkatané players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristoforo Ferri kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Cesare Tristezza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppe De Paolis in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Beppe De Paolis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Tristezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesare Tristezza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Cinalli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Cosimo Cinalli notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Cesare Tristezza. Cesare Tristezza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cosimo Cinalli came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Friulkatané fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosimo Cinalli couldn't finish the play. If Fabiano Zisser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesare Tristezza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Di Fazio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the game, Fabiano Zisser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Sixtus Flory was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the match, Friulkatané's Beppe De Paolis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesare Tristezza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Friulkatané players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
