The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 19 minutes of play, WRC Franchi Racing Team's Dino Capaldo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Verdone charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Verdone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, WRC Franchi Racing Team's Antonio Verdone got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Cabiate booed when WRC Franchi Racing Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Verdone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half WRC Franchi Racing Team were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

WRC Franchi Racing Team's Oscar Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Ferrara in the 52nd minute of play. Cabiate's Fortunato Esposito got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Amedeo De Paolis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrea Ferrara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Oscar Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermanno Di Marzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Franco Migliorati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortunato Esposito kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The WRC Franchi Racing Team players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
