In the 16th minute Antonello Di Virgilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Tristezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goalkeeper Cesare Tristezza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camillo Di Cristofaro. Camillo Di Cristofaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Cesare Tristezza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Camillo Di Cristofaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Cesare Tristezza made a huge save. The supporters of IoSonoLeggenda booed when C.C. Ortigia Siracusa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davide Negri to make the kick off. Emanuele Punta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesare Tristezza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Di Cristofaro in the 63rd minute of play. Federico Tullo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davide Negri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. In the 79th minute, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Davide Negri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Federico Tullo. Federico Tullo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 84 minutes into the game, Davide Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Federico Tullo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the match, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Di Cristofaro came free, but Cesare Tristezza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonello Di Virgilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Davide Negri came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the C.C. Ortigia Siracusa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davide Negri couldn't finish the play. The C.C. Ortigia Siracusa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
